Ready in 10 Minutes
One plug to the Truma, 12V power — that's all it takes. No soldering, no crimping, no cable routing.
The steps below describe the installation of the CampMatic Truma controller. CampMatic Guard is even simpler: connect 12 V or USB power — done. No Truma connection required.

Connect Heater
Easiest at the back of the CP Plus: unplug the RJ12 cable, put the splitter in between — one output back to the CP Plus, one to the CampMatic. Or straight into the free LinBUS socket of the Truma Combi.

12V Power
The box only needs 12V — from any 12V source in your camper, or conveniently straight from the CP Plus. A connection to the CP Plus is not required.

Connect & Go
Place box in service compartment, connect via WiFi or 4G — done!
Place the box in a protected, dry area near the Truma heater — e.g. in the service compartment under the bench seat (VW Grand California) or a similar compartment.

Connect the WiFi box to a network — phone hotspot, campsite WiFi, LTE router or Starlink. Full access from anywhere in the world. Applies to the WiFi variants of CampMatic Truma and Guard.
Via 4G Cellular
GC_HW_GSM01 · CM_LC_GSM01
The 4G variant connects directly via the cellular network — no WiFi needed. Works with any SIM card, compatible with most European mobile carriers. Applies to CampMatic Truma GSM (GC_HW_GSM01) and CampMatic Guard GSM (CM_LC_GSM01).
Local Fallback AP
All variants
No network? No problem. The box automatically creates its own WiFi network. Connect directly and control the heater locally or read gas and battery levels. Applies to all CampMatic models — Truma and Guard.
Compatibility
Will it fit my camper?
The points below apply to the CampMatic Truma controller. CampMatic Guard runs in any camper with 12 V power — a Truma heater is not required.
Any camper with Truma Combi / Vario Heat & CP Plus
CampMatic works in any vehicle with a compatible Truma heater and CP Plus control panel (C4+). Tested in VW Grand California 600/680 among others.
Supported Truma Heaters
Truma Combi 4 (gas), Truma Combi 4 E (gas/electric), Truma Combi 6 (gas), Truma Combi 6 E (gas/electric), Truma Combi D 6 (diesel), Truma Combi D 6 E (diesel/electric), Truma Vario Heat (gas).
Truma CP Plus Control Panel — Firmware C4.00.00+
Check in INIT menu: Settings → INIT → version starts with C4 or higher. On the Vario Heat it may start with P instead — that works too.
CP Plus version C3.xx.xx
Older protocol — data readable but no control possible. Upgrade to C4 available.
Truma iNet X
Uses a different communication method and is not supported.
No Truma iNet Box at the same time
CampMatic simulates an iNet Box. An original iNet Box must be removed first.

Gas & onboard battery always in sight
With the new CampMatic Guard you get gas bottle level and onboard battery voltage live in the app — wherever you are. Automatic notification the moment gas runs low or battery voltage drops below your threshold. Also included in all CampMatic Truma models.
Enough gas for the barbecue weekend? Is the fridge still running while you are at the beach? Will the battery last off-grid? Guard knows — before you have to ask.
Gas bottle
When you don't need to control a Truma heater but still want to know remotely how full your gas bottle is and how charged your onboard battery is. CampMatic Guard reads Bluetooth sensors for gas (Truma Level Control or Mopeka), onboard battery (BM2) and climate (Ruuvi), and shows everything live in the app and via Telegram.
Onboard battery (BM2)
Works with off-the-shelf BM2 Bluetooth battery monitors. Multiple BM2 sensors supported in parallel — monitor auxiliary and starter battery simultaneously, for example.
24-hour history right in the app. Perfect for long winter storage or before your next trip.
Environment (Ruuvi)
Temperature, humidity and air pressure inside your vehicle — live in the app. Perfect for keeping an eye on the fridge, frost warnings in winter or the indoor climate. RuuviTag via Bluetooth, multiple sensors in parallel.
Guard reads Bluetooth sensors. Gas: Truma Level Control (percent, kilograms and estimated remaining range; the bottle type is selected in the Truma app) or Mopeka Pro Check (ultrasonic, steel and aluminium bottles, fixed tanks) — several bottles, both types can be mixed. Battery: a standard BM2 monitor, 1 to n sensors in parallel (e.g. auxiliary and starter battery). Environment: RuuviTag for temperature, humidity and air pressure. All sensors are not included and must be purchased separately.
