One plug to the Truma, 12V power — that's all it takes. No soldering, no crimping, no cable routing.
The steps below describe the installation of the CampMatic Truma controller. CampMatic Guard is even simpler: connect 12 V or USB power — done. No Truma connection required.
Plug 1 goes into the LinBUS socket of the Truma Combi — the only connection to the heater.
The box only needs 12V. Tap conveniently from the CP Plus — or from any other 12V source in your camper.
Place box in service compartment, connect via WiFi or 4G — done!
Place the box in a protected, dry area near the Truma heater — e.g. in the service compartment under the bench seat (VW Grand California) or a similar compartment.

Connect the WiFi box to any WiFi network — LTE router, smartphone hotspot, campsite WiFi or Starlink. Full access from anywhere in the world. Applies to CampMatic Truma WiFi (GC_HW01) and CampMatic Guard WiFi (CM_LC_01).

The 4G variant connects directly via the cellular network — no WiFi needed. Works with any SIM card, compatible with all European mobile carriers. Applies to CampMatic Truma GSM (GC_HW_GSM01) and CampMatic Guard GSM (CM_LC_GSM01).

No network? No problem. The box automatically creates its own WiFi network. Connect directly and control the heater locally or read gas and battery levels. Applies to all CampMatic models — Truma and Guard.
The points below apply to the CampMatic Truma controller. CampMatic Guard runs in any camper with 12 V power — a Truma heater is not required.
CampMatic works in any vehicle with a compatible Truma heater and CP Plus control panel (C4+). Tested in VW Grand California 600/680 among others.
Truma Combi 4 (Diesel/Gas), Truma Combi 4E (Electric/Gas), Truma Combi 6 (Diesel/Gas), Truma Combi 6E (Electric/Gas), Truma Combi D 6 (Diesel), Truma Vario Heat (Gas).
Check in INIT menu: Settings → INIT → Version must start with C4.
Older protocol — data readable but no control possible. Upgrade to C4 available.
Uses a different communication method and is not supported.
CampMatic simulates an iNet Box. An original iNet Box must be removed first.

With the new CampMatic Guard you get gas bottle level and onboard battery voltage live in the app — wherever you are. Automatic notification the moment gas runs low or battery voltage drops below your threshold. Also included in all CampMatic Truma models.
When you don't need to control a Truma heater but still want to know remotely how full your gas bottle is and how charged your onboard battery is. CampMatic Guard reads Mopeka and BM2 Bluetooth sensors and shows everything live in the app and via Telegram.
Works with off-the-shelf BM2 Bluetooth battery monitors. Multiple BM2 sensors supported in parallel — monitor auxiliary and starter battery simultaneously, for example.
24-hour history right in the app. Perfect for long winter storage or before your next trip.
Guard reads data from Mopeka (gas) and BM2 (battery) Bluetooth sensors. For gas we recommend Mopeka Pro Check (steel and aluminium bottles, fixed tanks). For the battery a standard BM2 monitor is enough — 1 to n sensors in parallel (e.g. auxiliary and starter battery). Both sensors are not included and must be purchased separately.
Also integrates with Home Assistant — via MQTT auto-discovery, just like the CampMatic heating controller.
