By using the CampMatic GC_HW01 and its associated software (web app, Telegram bot, MQTT integration), you acknowledge and accept the following limitations of liability.
CampMatic controls a heater running on gas or diesel. Before using the system for the first time, please read in particular the sections on gas operation and safety obligations and remote control without line of sight.
1.Use at Your Own Risk
The use of the CampMatic GC_HW01 is entirely at the user's own risk and responsibility. CampMatic / FineSell GmbH assumes no liability for any damage arising from the use, installation, or operation of the product.
2.No Guarantee of Uninterrupted Operation
CampMatic is a WiFi-based control system dependent on power supply, WiFi connectivity, and internet availability. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or time-critical operation. Connection, server, or hardware failures may occur at any time.
3.Frost and Temperature Damage
CampMatic is not a frost protection system. Heating control via app or schedule does not replace manual monitoring of vehicle temperature. We accept no liability whatsoever for frost damage to water pipes, tanks, vehicle components, or other items in the vehicle — even with frost alerts enabled or heating schedules programmed.
4.Damage to Vehicle and Heater
CampMatic communicates with the Truma Combi heater via LinBUS. Although communication follows the documented protocol, we accept no liability for damage to the heater, control panel (CP Plus), vehicle electrics, or other vehicle components that may result from the use of CampMatic.
5.Fire Hazard and Safety Risks
Operating a heater in a closed vehicle carries inherent risks (overheating, oxygen depletion, fire hazard). CampMatic enables remote control of the heater — the user is solely responsible for ensuring that heater operation is safe under the given circumstances. Unattended remote control is at the user's own risk.
6.Installation and Modification
Installation of CampMatic is performed by the user. We accept no liability for improper installation, damaged cables, short circuits, or resulting consequential damage. Modifications to the firmware or configuration beyond the documented options are at the user's own risk.
7.Software and Notifications
Notifications (email, Telegram) are delivered on a best-effort basis and are not guaranteed. Push notifications may be delayed, fail, or not be delivered. Decisions made based on notifications or app displays are the user's responsibility.
8.Data Loss and Availability
We strive for high availability of the CampMatic platform (app, MQTT server, notification services). However, maintenance, technical failures, or force majeure may lead to temporary outages. Liability for any resulting damage is excluded.
9.Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the liability of CampMatic / FineSell GmbH is limited to the purchase price of the product. Liability for indirect damages, consequential damages, lost profits, or financial losses is excluded.
10.Intended Use
CampMatic is intended exclusively for use with Truma Combi and Vario Heat heaters with a CP Plus control panel (firmware C4 or newer). Use with other heaters, in other vehicles or for other purposes is not intended and is at your own risk.
11.Software License
The CampMatic software (web app, API, Telegram bot) is provided to the user free of charge for use. It is not part of the hardware purchase contract and is not owed. There is no entitlement to provision, maintenance, further development, or continued operation of the software. The software may be modified, restricted, or discontinued at any time.
12.Gas operation and user safety obligations
Operating a gas heater requires an intact gas system with a valid gas inspection under the national regulations that apply to you. Before every use of CampMatic, the user must ensure that the gas system, the exhaust routing and the air intakes are clear, undamaged and functional. We strongly recommend a certified carbon monoxide detector in the vehicle. The heater must not be operated while driving, while refuelling, or in enclosed spaces such as garages or workshops. CampMatic replaces none of these checks and monitors neither gas quality nor exhaust values. Operation by children, or by persons who do not understand the safety instructions, must be prevented.
13.Remote control without line of sight
CampMatic allows the heater to be switched on without line of sight to the vehicle. Before every remote start, the user must make sure that no people or animals are left unattended in the vehicle, that no flammable objects are placed on, against or in front of the heater outlets, and that the vehicle is properly ventilated. Schedules and automations do not remove this obligation — they run without any ability to check the state of the vehicle. Anyone unable to carry out this check must not use the remote control function.

Volkswagen and Grand California are trademarks of Volkswagen AG. Telegram is a trademark of Telegram FZ-LLC, PayPal a trademark of PayPal, Inc. All other product and company names mentioned here are trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective owners. CampMatic is an independent product of FineSell GmbH and is not affiliated with any of these companies; it is neither provided, authorised, endorsed nor sponsored by them. Third-party trademarks are named solely to describe compatibility. The manufacturer warranty of your heater remains unaffected by the use of CampMatic.
