Terms of Use

By using the CampMatic GC_HW01 and its associated software (web app, Telegram bot, MQTT integration), you acknowledge and accept the following limitations of liability.

1. Use at Your Own Risk

The use of the CampMatic GC_HW01 is entirely at the user's own risk and responsibility. CampMatic / FineSell GmbH assumes no liability for any damage arising from the use, installation, or operation of the product.

2. No Guarantee of Uninterrupted Operation

CampMatic is a WiFi-based control system dependent on power supply, WiFi connectivity, and internet availability. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or time-critical operation. Connection, server, or hardware failures may occur at any time.

3. Frost and Temperature Damage

CampMatic is not a frost protection system. Heating control via app or schedule does not replace manual monitoring of vehicle temperature. We accept no liability whatsoever for frost damage to water pipes, tanks, vehicle components, or other items in the vehicle — even with frost alerts enabled or heating schedules programmed.

4. Damage to Vehicle and Heater

CampMatic communicates with the Truma Combi heater via LinBUS. Although communication follows the documented protocol, we accept no liability for damage to the heater, control panel (CP Plus), vehicle electrics, or other vehicle components that may result from the use of CampMatic.

5. Fire Hazard and Safety Risks

Operating a heater in a closed vehicle carries inherent risks (overheating, oxygen depletion, fire hazard). CampMatic enables remote control of the heater — the user is solely responsible for ensuring that heater operation is safe under the given circumstances. Unattended remote control is at the user's own risk.

6. Installation and Modification

Installation of CampMatic is performed by the user. We accept no liability for improper installation, damaged cables, short circuits, or resulting consequential damage. Modifications to the firmware or configuration beyond the documented options are at the user's own risk.

7. Software and Notifications

Notifications (email, Telegram) are delivered on a best-effort basis and are not guaranteed. Push notifications may be delayed, fail, or not be delivered. Decisions made based on notifications or app displays are the user's responsibility.

8. Data Loss and Availability

We strive for high availability of the CampMatic platform (app, MQTT server, notification services). However, maintenance, technical failures, or force majeure may lead to temporary outages. Liability for any resulting damage is excluded.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the liability of CampMatic / FineSell GmbH is limited to the purchase price of the product. Liability for indirect damages, consequential damages, lost profits, or financial losses is excluded.

10. Intended Use

CampMatic is designed exclusively for use with Truma Combi heaters in VW Grand California vehicles (600/680) with CP Plus control panel (firmware C4+). Use in other vehicles, with other heaters, or for other purposes is not intended and is at the user's own risk.

11. Software License

The CampMatic software (web app, API, Telegram bot) is provided to the user free of charge for use. It is not part of the hardware purchase contract and is not owed. There is no entitlement to provision, maintenance, further development, or continued operation of the software. The software may be modified, restricted, or discontinued at any time.
